I love reading Christmas books to my kids and for myself! Rylee stayed home sick from school today, so I got out one of my favorite Christmas books to help us get into the spirit of Christmas, "The Legend of the Candy Cane" by Lori Walburg. This year, because of the warm weather and constant sunshine here, I really appreciated the pictures of the cold, wintery scenes that take place in this small town. Most important is the story shares such truth in a simple way for a child to understand. It really got me off to a wonderful start to the day! If you do not have it, I really recommend it for all ages.
